Disable STP บน Switch ที่ Interface ที่เข้า HCI

STP เป็น protocol ของ Cisco ที่ไว้ป้องกันการ Loop ใน network ซึ่งจะส่ง packet ออกมาในnetwork ค่อนข้างถี่มาก

ความต้องการ

ระบบHCI ทุก Interface มีความจำเป็นที่จะต้องDisable STP packet บน Switch Interface ที่เชื่อมต่อกับ HCI 

ผลกระทบ

เนื่องจากpacketที่ถูกส่งออกมาจำนวนมากจะกวนการทำงาน HCI ซึ่งอาจจะไม่ได้ส่งผลทันทีตั้งแต่เริ่มติดตั้ง

ซึ่งจะมีผลกระทบตั้งแต่มีerror เตือนในหน้า HCI จนไปถึงความเสถียรของ Storage ซึ่งอาจจะส่งผลไปยังส่วนอื่นๆได้

วิธีแก้ไข

- Enable Edge Port (ซึ่งคือ define stp port edge แล้วเปิด bpdufilter)

- ตรวจสอบ command ตัวอย่างได้ที่คู่มือ
Command Config Switch (STP)ใช้งาน HCI , VDI

- หรือให้ Disable STP บน Interface บน Switch ที่เชื่อมต่อเข้ามาที่ HCI ถ้าไม่ enable bpdufilter ก็อาจจะมีpacket stp จาก switch ตัวอื่นวิ่งเข้ามาถึงอยู่ดี (ควรทำ portfast + bpdufilter enable)

User-side devices such as servers do not need to run STP. If STP is enabled on switch ports connected to these devices, the ports will alternate between Up and Down or cannot enter the Forwarding state immediately after a topology change on the STP network, which is unacceptable for some services. To prevent the preceding problem, configure the ports that do not need to run STP as edge ports. Edge ports can enter the Forwarding state immediately after they go Up. In addition, edge ports do not send TC BPDUs and therefore do not affect services on the STP network.
