บทนำ
การใช้งาน Remote App บน Sangfor VDI ต้องมี License 3 ประเภท ได้แก่ VDI License จาก Sangfor, RDS License (Remote Desktop Services CAL) จาก Microsoft และ Windows Server License บทความนี้อธิบายรายละเอียดของแต่ละ License วิธีการขอ การ Activate และการตรวจสอบสถานะ
ข้อกำหนดเบื้องต้น
- สิทธิ์ Admin บน VDC Console
- สิทธิ์ Administrator บน Windows Server (Remote App Server)
- ข้อมูล License ที่ได้รับจาก Sangfor และ Microsoft
ประเภท License ที่ต้องใช้
1. VDI License (จาก Sangfor)
VDI License เป็น License หลักของระบบ Sangfor VDI ซึ่งครอบคลุมการใช้งาน Remote App ด้วย
- ขอ License จาก Sangfor Sales หรือ Partner
- License จะผูกกับ Hardware Serial Number ของ VDC
- Activate โดย Import License File บน VDC Console ที่ System > License
- ตรวจสอบจำนวน User ที่รองรับและวันหมดอายุได้ที่หน้าเดียวกัน
2. RDS License - Remote Desktop Services CAL (จาก Microsoft)
RDS CAL เป็น License ที่ Microsoft กำหนดให้ต้องมีเมื่อใช้งาน Remote Desktop Session Host บน Windows Server
- Per User CAL: License ผูกกับ User แต่ละคน เหมาะสำหรับกรณีที่ User ใช้งานจากหลายเครื่อง
- Per Device CAL: License ผูกกับอุปกรณ์ เหมาะสำหรับกรณีที่หลาย User ใช้เครื่องเดียวกัน
วิธีการขอและ Activate RDS CAL:
- ซื้อ RDS CAL จาก Microsoft Authorized Reseller
- บน Remote App Server ให้เปิด Remote Desktop Licensing Manager
- คลิกขวาที่ Server > Activate Server แล้วทำตามขั้นตอน Wizard
- หลังจาก Activate Server แล้ว ให้คลิกขวาอีกครั้ง > Install Licenses แล้วกรอกข้อมูล License
สำคัญ: Windows Server มี RDS Trial Period 120 วัน หลังจากติดตั้ง Remote Desktop Session Host Role หากไม่ Activate RDS CAL ภายใน 120 วัน User จะไม่สามารถเชื่อมต่อ Remote Desktop Session ได้
3. Windows Server License (จาก Microsoft)
Windows Server ที่ใช้เป็น Application Server ต้องมี License ที่ถูกต้องจาก Microsoft
- ซื้อ Windows Server License ตาม Edition ที่ใช้งาน (Standard หรือ Datacenter)
- Activate ผ่าน Settings > Update & Security > Activation หรือใช้ KMS Server
- กรณีที่มีหลาย Application Server อาจพิจารณาใช้ Datacenter Edition ที่รองรับ VM ไม่จำกัด
การตรวจสอบสถานะ License บน VDC
1. เข้าสู่ VDC Console
2. ไปที่ System > License
3. ตรวจสอบข้อมูลดังนี้:
- License Status: Active หรือ Expired
- Total Users: จำนวน User ที่รองรับ
- Used Users: จำนวน User ที่ใช้งานอยู่
- Expiry Date: วันหมดอายุของ License
4. สำหรับ RDS License ให้ตรวจสอบบน Windows Server ที่ Remote Desktop Licensing Manager โดยดูจำนวน CAL ที่ติดตั้งและจำนวนที่ถูกใช้งาน
หมายเหตุ
- RDS CAL Trial 120 วัน เริ่มนับตั้งแต่วันที่ติดตั้ง Remote Desktop Session Host Role ไม่ใช่วันที่เริ่มใช้งาน
- หาก RDS License หมดอายุหรือไม่ได้ Activate ระบบจะแสดง Error เมื่อ User พยายามเชื่อมต่อ Remote App
- ในกรณีที่มี Application Server หลายเครื่อง สามารถใช้ RD Licensing Server เครื่องเดียวสำหรับทุก Server ได้
- แนะนำให้ตั้ง Calendar Reminder สำหรับวัน Renew License เพื่อป้องกันการหมดอายุโดยไม่ทันตั้งตัว
